CALIFORNIA NATIVE PLANT NURSERY

Established in 1978, The Center’s California Native Plant Nursery was one of Northern California’s first nurseries dedicated to site-specific native plants.  We propagate California native plants for habitat restoration projects.  In addition, our nursery provides native and drought tolerant plants for home-gardeners and landscapers for use in water-wise landscapes.

The Center uses specialized containers to grow most of our nursery stock. These containers are designed to produce a long, straight root system. This technique for propagation produces plants that adapt favorably to drought conditions and become established at a faster pace than traditional potting methods.

The nursery is currently open to the public by appointment.
