GANG RISK INTERVENTION

Project YES is a collaboration between CRP and the Sonoma County Juvenile Probation.  This program serves court-ordered youth and is designed to educate youth about gang culture and risks, alternative choices and behaviors, resources to support healthier choices, tools to develop a positive meaningful life and an overall increased awareness of the community.  Each referred youth participates through attendance at a 16 week life skills class.  Program curriculum consists of violence prevention, job training, college awareness, community awareness, drug/alcohol use and abuse prevention, as well as four weeks of intensive anger management skill training.  Parents and caregivers of these youth are also included in the program.  Individual and family counseling is offered to these youth and families on an as-needed basis. Contact Bernardo Ruiz at 838-6641,       x 254 or Manuel Lopez, x 222 for more information.
