PROJECT SITES

Restoration Projects Summary

Program participants implemented restoration projects (in partnership with private landowners) through a series of restoration workshops and public planting events involving students, landowners and community members.

Restoration projects were developed and implemented on the following sites during the 2004/05 Program year:

Many of the restoration projects occur on land that has recently been in agricultural production and is adjacent to degraded riparian corridors. 

*Fish Friendly Farming Program Participant - One of the participating landowners is a participant in the Sotoyome Resource Conservation District's Fish Friendly Farming Program (FFP) - a voluntary certification program for grape growers who implement land-management practices that restore and sustain salmonid habitat on their property.  The Sotoyome Resource Conservation District and CRP collaborated to provide technical expertise, design work and implementation funds for these projects.
